It's about time to say Goodbye to January...yes, today was our little Miss Fabulous Lily's 5th Birthday. Believe it or not, we didn't do anything special today and at bedtime she told Daddy that it was her best birthday ever! Friday night she helped her sister build a snowman with a friend of ours who had stopped by...it was pretty foul looking, but they were very proud. They were so excited they couldn't wait for me to get outside to photograph it, well Curley got to it first and knocked him down and took off with his hat...so much for the snowman.
Saturday we started packing for the big Disney trip that we leave on Friday in the wee hours of the morning. Then we headed to a friend's open house and into Church for a pre-Ice Fest party. The kids had a blast and we invited some friends to come along and then we headed down to Ice Fest to see the ice sculptures on Main Street. As much as I complain about living here and long to move South or West, we really have the BEST SMALL TOWN EVER! I love our downtown, it's quaint and pretty classy...and it's something special to be able to walk around and know 65% of the people you pass.
As we close January, it's been a pretty good month. Sophia earned her first set of badges as a Brownie Girl Scout. She was so proud! And she sold over 150 boxes of cookies, thanks to her MaMa. Isaac is doing well in school and has started reading. Lily of course, finally turned 5 and is very excited to be the same age as her friends! And, Oliver is obsessed with Star Wars and Ninjagago Legos. Everyone is looking forward to the Disney World trip and we're about packed and ready to go...
