Hello Wind...Goodbye Power!

Go figure...What a waste of a day! At 10 am we lost power...due to the big wind storm. We finally decided to get the kids bathroom gutted and remodeled and boom, NO power. Our friend Scott is doing the redo so it was a good chance to chit chat and get to know each other a bit. He is a good christian man, nice guy...so we decided to go get some lunch. KFC was closed due to no power and so we went to Brothers Pizza, the sign was lit, as soon as we ordered, no power. They fed us anyway, thanks Brothers Pizza! That is what you get in Chambersburg, good old friendly small town hospitality! :-)

So what do we do with 4 little kids and no power??? We go to the ASBURYS!!! What fun! First we had the ministry dinner at church, which was packed! And then we camped out at Susan and Ed's. I have to say, they are like family to us. We always have fun, good food, and a good laugh. So in the spirit of the Coors Light commercials (I think)...

Here's to you, Ed and Susan Asbury...two hardworking church going beer drinking, nothing to hide, what you see is what you get, living on the other side of town with three mini-look-a-like beautiful girls, drill sargent Susan who makes the kids do PT every day, craft wholly ball mania mama, gun totin' deer meat fresh cut french fry lovin' state trooper Daddy...good old fashioned lovable Asburys...AKA the Azzwipes...
