Our weekend was filled with lots of Easter activities. Saturday morning we started at Falling Spring Presbyterian Church with an Easter party for the kiddos. It included a storytelling journey about the Easter story. The kids really enjoyed it and it was very well done. Later that day we headed to Costco and the Outlets for some quick household shopping. Then we made the trek back to Chambersburg to attend our Palm Sunday Family Night event. What a wonderful way to start and end the day, with these awesome Easter celebrations.
Palm Sunday was today, so church was extra-special as the children had the palm processional through the Sanctuary. Oliver walked with me down the aisle and it was special for me to see how he follows the other kids. First, he didn't want to be held, he wanted to walk like the big kids. Then, he watched as they approached the alter and laid their palm on the alter, as he did too, very calmly and nicely. It about made me cry...until he ran through the men's bible class to get out the door. As you see in the photo below...later in the day our friend Hannah helped us paint some egg photo/face cut-outs for Easter parties this week and the girls' had their dance photos taken. Here are some highlights.
